Elmer J. Studer, 75, of Blue Grass, Iowa, died Thursday, August 26, 2004 at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, Davenport. Celebration of Life services will be10:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 31st at Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport. Visitation will be held 4-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Diabetes Association.
Mr. Studer was born May 15, 1929 in Shelbina, Missouri to Albert V. and Hazel (Barzee) Studer. He married Frankie J. Harter October 29, 1955 in Davenport. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked 30 years in the foil mill of ALCOA, Riverdale, Iowa, retiring in 1983. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and farming.
