Golfer. Millard S. Rosenblatt received notoriety in the golf world, playing the game as a winning golfer from 1916 at age 15 until the age of 94. This gave him a place in the Guinness Book of Records. During this long period of playing golf, he had many achievements. He began playing golf at age twelve at Tualatin Country Club in Tualatin, Oregon and placed second in the 1917 and 1919 in the Oregon State Amateur Tournament. In 1916 he placed first in the Tualatin Country Club Championship and would go on to placed first at total of twelve times with his last in 1968, which was 52 years later. He placed first in five Oregon Senior Championship and was first runner-up in five of these championships. He qualified and played six U.S.G.A. National Senior Tournaments and qualified for the Oregon State Amateur Championship 18 times. In 1956, he placed first in the Senior Division of the Royal Oak Invitational Tourament. He placed first in the Oregon Coast over 32 Championship four times, 1934, 1935, 1952, and 1953. He served as the President for the Tualatin Country Club being Chairman of the Green for 25 years, The Oregon Golf Association, and Oregon Senior Golf Association. The January 17, 1934 "Jewish Post" reports that Dr. Rosenblatt made two hole-in-ones in one day. He was inducted into the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame in 1997. According to his obituary, Dr. Rosenblatt earned a degree in physiology graduating Phi Beta Kappa, yet the college was not named. Besides maintaining a private medical practice, he taught at the University of Oregon Medical School in Portland from 1930 to 1975 and served on the surgical staff at St. Vincent Hospital for 45 years, acting as chief of staff in 1958.
