He was born Sept. 26, 1879, in Wirt county, son of the late John and Mary Trippett Heck, and was a member of the Liberty St. Church of God. He was a retired mail carrier in the Clarksburg area.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Louise Humphrey, Columbus, O.; a son, Gerald K. Heck, Columbus, O.; and one step-son, T.S. Kelly, Clarksburg; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The Rev. E. Cartmill will officiate with burial in Arlington Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call at the funeral home after noon today.
