Geraldine (Geri) Hatch Williams Hall, 87, died Saturday, May 13, 2006, in Mesa.
She was born Aug. 30, 1918, in Safford to George Loren Hatch and Minnie Layton Hatch.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Benner A. Hall; children, Rebecca Bentley (Bob, deceased), Dale (Jan) Hall, Diane (Al) Krueger, John (Annabel) Hall, Joan Hall, Bill (Jennifer) Hall; 25 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren and a sister, Lenore (Al) Whetten.Geri graduated from Safford High School in 1936 and received an associate degree from Gila Junior College, now Eastern Arizona College, in 1938.

In 1939, she married Waldo Williams, who passed away in 1942. Geri married Benner A. Hall in 1948, and they made their homes in Safford and Phoenix. In 1955, the family settled in Mesa.

A woman of many talents, Geri served generously with unconditional love and joy. As an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she had many callings in the Primary, Young Women Organization and the Relief Society.

When Benner retired from teaching, he and Geri served missions together in Lima, Peru, the Mesa Family History Center and in Nauvoo, Ill.

They were faithful temple workers in the Mesa temple for many years. No one was a better daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend than Geri.

She will be remembered for her life of happiness through her Christlike service.

She was an example of goodness to everyone who knew her. She will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation will be held at Bunker's Garden Chapel, 33 N. Centennial Way, Mesa, from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Services are at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the LDS chapel on Sixth Avenue and South Barkley, Mesa, with visitation one hour prior to services.
