Roy Conley Rites Held at West Branch
Funeral services for Roy H. Conley, 73, were held at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church, West Branch, Jan. 19 with the Rev. George Bachmann
officiating. Burial was made in St. Joseph's cemetery, Cedar Valley.
Mr. Conley died at the University hospital, Iowa City, Jan. 17 following injuries suffered in a fall Dec. 6. The possibility of his being hit by
a motor vehicle was also investigated.
He was born July 15, 1898 at Rochester, the son of Frank and Anna Conley.
He married Helen Fitzpatrick at Cedar Valley June 17, 1926. He was a member of St. Bernadette church and was a carpenter and cement worker.
Survivors include 2 sons, Francis and Mike, West Branch; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Beeler, West Branch; 2 brothers, Harlod (Short) and Clarence,
Rochester; a sister, Mrs. Frances Martin, Iowa City; 7 grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, a sister and 3 brothers.
