Twelve Week Illness Is Fatal to Lexington Pharmarist

S. Edward Thompson, 59, pharmist died at 2:35 o'clock Saturday afternoon at his residence on east high street after a 12-weeks' illness. He was pharmist at Parmenter's drug store. He had made his home in Lexington for nearly 10 years before moving here from Georgetown, where he had resided since boyhead. He was born in Germantown, Mason county, a son of the late Ebenezer and Ada Marie Thompson.
Graduated from Georgetown College he received his pharmacist's degree from University of Michigan. He was a member of the Masonic order Knights Templar Oleika Temple Shriners and the Broadway Christian Church.
Mr. Thompson's survivors include his wife Mrs. Eugenia Tharpe Thompson; two daughters, Mrs Hobert Wilson, Hamilton, Ohio; Mrs. Arch B. Hagan, Lexington; three sons, Harry, Fred and William E. Thompson, all of Lexington. Three grandchildren, Mary Gene and Louise Wilson, Hamilton, Ohio, and Nancy Marie Thompson, Lexington, two sisters Mrs. Jane T. Pierce, Salem, Virginia, and Miss Margaret Thompson, Georgetown.
Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon at the grave in the family lot in the Georgetown Cemetery. Rev W.E. Sweeney and Rev Charles E. Powell officiating. Pallbearers will be Dudley Roach, B.F.D. Allen, E.W. Dorcey, D.B. Parmenter, John Powell and George Allen.
