Cecelia was born near Badger, MN to Joseph and Rosalia (Ewalt) Dolney. She grew up in various locations around Greenbush, MN where she attended country school. Cecelia was united in marriage to Pete Adamski at Greenbush, MN on June 15, 1948. They lived on the Adamski family farm near Florian, MN. She was a true partner in the farm operation helping raise various animals, selling eggs, gardening , planting and harvesting the crops.
Cecelia was a member of the Assumption Catholic Church of Florian all of her married life. She had been an active member of the Assumption Ladies of Florian and taught catechism for many years. While residing at the nursing home she was a lector at weekly Mass. Her faith was the foundation of her life.
Cecelia was a woman with many interests and talents. She enjoyed sewing and quilting. She created hundreds of quilts and gave many of them away as gifts. Cecelia had a home-based business repairing sewing machines. She was an expert baker and cook. Another talent she shared with others was making cakes for special occasions including weddings. Cecelia also ran the Snack Shack at Florian Park for a few years. She was a good listener and had a wonderful sense of humor.
She is survived by her sons and daughters: Michael of Florian, Helen (and Scott) Kight of Lehigh Acres, FL, Diane of Drayton, ND, Lawrence of North Fort Myers, FL, Joann (and Ron ) Kram of Morris, MN, and daughter-in-law: Diane Adamski of Danube, MN; 9 grandchildren: LaRae Kram, Bridget (and Jeremy) Scheeler, Matthew (Cassandra) Adamski, Rebecca Adamski, Danielle Adamski, Carolyn Adamski, Claire Adamski and Rose Adamski; ten great-grandchildren: Justin, Owen, Luke, Leslie, Gio, Leo, Elisia, Ian, Jaden, and Aubrey: sisters: Monica Mrozek of Little Falls, MN, Della Zoren of Oregon and brother: Ted Dolney of Oregon; many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Pete, her son Peter, grandchildren Abraham and Joshua, and great-grandson Cameron, her parents, two brothers and seven sisters.
MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: 10:30 AM on Monday, December 30, 2013 at Assumption Catholic Church in Florian, MN. VISITATION: After 5:00 PM with a 6:30 PM prayer service on Sunday at Assumption Catholic Church in Florian and one hour before services at the church on Monday.
