Amos "Ike" Bunch of Minco, Oklahoma passed from this life on March 12th, 2010 in Minco at the age of 88. Ike was born on April 2, 1921 in Marlow, Oklahoma to Arch Bunch and Belle (Bowman) Bunch.
Ike was a former resident of Marlow, Oklahoma. He moved to Chickasha, Oklahoma and then, to Minco, Oklahoma to be with family. Ike served in the U.S. Army in World War II, serving in the Philippines, New Guinea and Luzon. Ike loved going to the lake and spending time with family, friends and his buddy, Max.
Mr. Bunch is survived by his daughter, Marketta Johnson and husband Al of Edmund, Oklahoma, his son, Lonnie Bunch and wife Vanita of Chickasha, Oklahoma, his daughter, Sandra Powers and husband Danny of Lindsay, Oklahoma, his son Tommy Bunch and wife Angie of Minco, Oklahoma, and his step-daughter, Rhonda Barney of Arkansas. Ike also leaves behind eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and numerous family members and friends.
Mr. Bunch was preceded in death by his first wife Geneva Bunch in 1981, his second wife LaVerna Bunch in 2008, his parents, Arch and Belle Bunch, and two sisters, Leatha Palmer and Earline Harless.
Funeral services for Mr. Bunch are set for two o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, March 16th, 2010 at the B.G. Boydston Funeral Home Chapel in Lindsay, Oklahoma located at 308 S.W. Third Street with Pastor Mike Bates officiating. Interment will follow at Erin Springs Cemetery in Erin Springs, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of B.G.
