EDWARD A. AHRENS
Edward A. Ahrens, 83, of Herman Road, Manitowoc, died Thursday at Memorial
Hospital, Manitowoc, after a short illness.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Wesley Methodist Church,
Manitowoc. The Rev. D. T. Stannard will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Ahrens was born March 19, 1885, in the Town of Manitowoc, son of the
late August and Mathilda Lemke Ahrens, and married Ida Kuhlman Nov. 28,
1924, at Manitowoc. The couple lived on Rt. 4, Manitowoc, and then moved
to their present farm. She died Aug. 13, 1963.
Survivors include a brother, Richard W. of Rt. 4, Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs.
Arthur Heimke, of Brillion, and nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 3 p.m.
Sunday until 11:30 a.m. Monday and then at the church until the time of
services.
