GLADYS L. AHRENS
Mrs. Richard Ahrens, 61, of Rt. 4, Manitowoc, died Monday morning at Holy
Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Redeemer Lutheran Church,
Manitowoc. The Rev. John E. Lutze will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Ahrens, nee Gladys LaVerne Bierman, was born June 14, 1912, at Manitowoc
Rapids, daughter of the late Ernest and Sophia Sanderson Bierman. She was
married to Richard Ahrens June 15, 1935, at Manitowoc.
Survivors include her husband, two sons, (private), a daughter, (private);
a brother, Roland Bierman, and a sister, Mrs. Theodore Kappelman, of Manitowoc
and five grandchildren. A brother, Lynn, preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday until noon
Thursday when the casket will be moved to the church where the body will lie
in state from noon until the time of service.
