G. T. Eggleston, 68 years old, died at his home in Stanleytown Sunday morning following an illness extending over a period of two years.
Funeral services were held at 10 o'clock this morning from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Chas. McCray on Ellsworth Street, being conducted by Dr. T. F. Carroll, pastor of the Martinsville Methodist Church and Reverend O. B. Carter, pastor of the Bassett Methodist Church.
Burial was at Pleasant Grove.
Besides Mrs. McCray, he is survived by his wife, and two other daughters, Miss Virginia Eggleston and Mrs. Jones Allen of Martinsville; and four sons, Carroll, Morris, Gene and Everett, all of Stanleytown.
