Fred was the son of Homer Allyn and Ruth E. Clark Allyn. He resided in New Haven IL but died at the Mount Vernon Nursing & Rehabilitation Center at the age of 84. He was a retired truck driver. He was predeceased in death by his brother Gilbert O. Allyn and sister Genevieve "Geneva" Sandefur. He is survived by his sons Bob Allyn of Carmi IL and C.H. Allyn of Mt. Vernon IN, daughter Freddie King of Mt. Vernon IN, wife Evelyn Jean (Roark) Allyn, and sister Mildred Wall of Evansville, IN. He is also survived by five grandchildren, two great grandchildren and two step grandchildren. Arrangements were handled by Cox & Son Funeral Home.
