Henry L. Birkholz, age 60, died on Wednesday, April 26, 1978 in a Madison hospital. He was born at Wilton, WI on May 5, 1917, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Birkholz. Mr. Birkholz was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was an Army veteran of WWII, serving 2½ years overseas. He farmed, later worked for the Oconomowoc Canning Co. and finally the Sun Prairie Public Schools. Survivors include his wife, the former Beulah Lambert; a daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Rita) Hill of Sun Prairie; four sons, Richard, Russell, Randall and Robert, all of Sun Prairie; four sisters, Mrs. James (Frieda) Carlson of Wisconsin Dells, Mrs. Clarence (Gertrude) Lobensteln, Mrs. Nenfred (Margaret) Soma and Mrs. Robert (Bernice) Faltersack, all of Sun Prairie; four brothers, Edward of Wisconsin Dells, Kenneth and Harvey, both of Sun Prairie, and Carl of Beaver Dam; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rosalee Schey, two sisters, Hilda Sonnenberg and Anna Birkholz and three brothers, Martin, Alvin and Donald. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 28 at 1 p.m. at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church. Rev. A. D. Laper will officiate. Burial will be in the Sun Prairie City Cemetery.
