Lenza was the daughter of Allen J. Eccard and Amanda 'Mandy' M. Schroyer of Frederick County. She grew up in Frederick and came to Woodberry, Baltimore, MD with her family some time during her teens. She married George Lovell, who build the Shechinach Temple or Lovell's church in Woodberry. They had two children; Guy M. & Georgia. Lenza ran the church from the late 1930s through the 1950s despite the fact that her husband George divorced her and left sometime in the 1940s. Her funeral was held in the same church she dedicated her life to.
