Dear mother thou hast left us
all thy sufferings now is o'er
thou hast found a better home
where sufferings come no more
long and patiently thou hast suffered
but at last the victory is won
pain and suffering now are ended
God has called thy spirit home

we will miss thee in our circle
there will be one vacant chair
but in heaven again we'll meet thee
when we climb the golden stairs
sweetly sleep in thy warrior bed
for all thy work is done
thou hast paid the debt
that God requires of everyone
