Misses Jewell and Arye Holt attended the funeral of thir cousin, Miss Lizzie Cothran, at Edge Hill church last Sunday.

February 25, 1916
Miss Mary Elizabeth Cothran, familiarly known as "Lizzie," died at 6:15 am Feb. 12, 1916, at the home of her parents at Edge following an illness of three weeks. She was 16 years and 7 months old and had been a consistent member of Edge Baptist church about three and a half years. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Cothran, five brothers, Samuel B., John B. Frank, Joe and Jesse and one little sister, Bertha, survive her. Her remains were laid to rest beside a sister and two brothers who had preceeded her to the grave, in the cemetery at Edge Hill Baptist church, near Level Run in Pittsylvania county, Sunday afternoon. Funeral services conducted by her pastor, Rev. J. A. Barnhardt.
