AUGUST AFFELD
August Affeld, 1316 South Thirteenth street, died at the family home Saturday
morning at 11 o'clock. The funeral will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, afternoon
from the home 2 o'clock, the Rev. Machmiller officiating and burial will be at
Evergreen.
Born in Germany March 5, 1852, Mr. Affeld was past seventy-three years of age.
He was married in Germany and came to this country in 1881 after the death of
his wife and in 1903 he was married to Emma Hirch, the widow, who with a brother,
Julius, at Watertown and a sister in Germany, are the only surviving relatives.
Mr. Affeld was for a number of years employed by the city.
