YOUTH, ILL 5 MONTHS, DIES
Harland Adler, 19, Was Graduated From High School In '35
Harland Adler, 19, a graduate of Lincoln high school in 1935, died Sunday
afternoon at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. August Stockmeier,
1018 S. 16th street. He was ill since last February.
In November, 1935, he obtained employment in the art department of the
Aluminum Goods Manufacturing company and worked there until he was taken
ill in February.
He was born in this city Jan. 7, 1917, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Adler,
both of whom are dead. His mother, the former Linda Stockmeier, died when he
was five weeks old and his father was killed two years ago in an accident at
West Allis. He was crushed between a conveyor and a truck in a coal yard.
Harland was reared by his grandparents.
Funeral Tuesday
Survivors are the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Stockmeier of this city and Mr.
and Mrs. Joseph Adler Sr., Pulaski, Wis.
The body will be taken to the Stockmeier residence from the Wattawa, Urbanek
& Schlei funeral home Tuesday afternoon. The funeral will be held Thursday at
1:30 p.m. from the residene and 2 o'clock at the First German Evangelical
Lutheran church, 8th and Marshall streets. The Rev. L. J. Koeninger will
officiate and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
