Alexander Adams, 62, (above) of 1520 South Ninth street, confectioner and
restaurant operator for years, died this morning at his home. He suffered a
stroke two years ago and recently returned from the Mayo clinic at Rochester.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Urbanek and Schlei
funeral home, the Rev. F.C. St.Clair officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen
cemetery.

Mr. Adams was born in Newcastle, England, in 1884 and accompanied his parents to
this country in 1895. After three years in Sheboygan the family moved to this
city.

He married Miss Emma Kashbaum 30 years ago.

Mr. Adams operated a confectionery and bakery business on Washington street for
several years and in more recent years opened a lunchroom on South Ninth street,
which he operated until taken ill two years ago.

Survivors are his wife; three sisters, Mrs. Edward Dunning, Mrs. William Boeder
and Mrs. Carl Lewis, all of this city; two brothers, Thomas and Samuel, of this
city.

The body may be viewed at the funeral home after Tuesday noon.
