Samuel Adams, 84, of 434 Huron St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday evening, March 4 at the family residence.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Parkside Funeral Home and 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by the Rev. William Zimmer and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Adams was born March 15, 1897, at Sheboygan, son of the late Thomas and Margaret McKay Adams. He married Otelia Damask Oct. 29, 1934, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He was a baker by trade in his early years and worked for many years at Manitowoc Equipment Works. At the time of his retirement in 1979, he was employed at Kelvinator Company. He was a member of Machinists Local Union 516, Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the church Holy Name Society.
Survivors include his wife, Otelia; a son, Richard Adams of Appleton; a daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Roger Scott of Newport News, Va.; 11 grandchildren; two great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sister Lawrence, S.S.P.S., an infant son, two brothers and four sisters. Friends may call at Parkside Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday where a prayer service will be at 7 p.m.
