Mrs. Thos. Adams is Stricken Suddenly By Apoplexy.
Apopolexy an attack of which she suffered while assisting in her husband's
bakery at Washington and 18th streets caused the death of Mrs. Thomas Adams
Thursday afternoon, death resulting five hours after Mrs. Adams was stricken.
Decedent was 54 years of age and is survived by her husband and a family of
seven children. The funeral will be held from the late home Saturday afternoon.
Mrs. Adams who was in apparent robust health was stricken as she was about to
leave the bakery for the living rooms of the family upstairs and was found
unconscious on the stairway. Physicians who were summoned held out little hope
of recovery and Mrs. Adams expired at 4 o'clock.
The Adams family have been residents of the city for years, Mr. Adams having
been engaged in the bakery business on the South Side and at present is located
on Washington St. The death of Mrs. Adams is a shock to friends. She was well
and favorably known to the city.
