Mrs. Emma Emilie Acker, 89, died at the home of her son, Charles, 1829 Michigan
avenue Friday. She had been ill for eight weeks.
The body will lie in state at the Pfeffer Funeral Home from Sunday morning until
Monday at 10 a.m. when it will be removed to the First Reformed church. Funeral
services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the church, the Rev. A. C. Fischer
officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Born March 9, 1853 in the town of Newton, Mrs. Acker was married to Andrew Acker
on July 27, 1886. Mr. Acker died 54 years ago.
Survivors are the son Charles, with whom she made her home, four grandchildren,
three great-grandchildren, two brothers, Carl and Julius Hecker of this city and
one sister, Mrs. Lottie Janssen of Milwaukee.
