Truly Cecil Adkisson, 73, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2008.
He was born on August 3, 1935 to his parents, Lewis January and Elizabeth (Straley) Adkisson. He married Eva Marie Bale on May 24, 1954 in Abilene, TX. He worked as a self employed dirt contractor for many years.
He loved his kids and grandkids, and enjoyed his animals.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Eva Marie Adkisson, his daughter, Edna Marie Adkisson, and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his sons, Cecil Dale & wife, Rebecca Robin Adkisson of Odessa, Terry & wife Stacia Adkisson of Midland, his daughters, Linda & husband James Redwine of Odessa and Pam & husband James Dennis of Odessa, his brothers, Ottis Adkisson of Odessa, Junior and wife Laura Mae Adkisson of Abilene, his sisters, Juanita Murray of Arlington, Geniva Holt of Abilene, Wanda English of Clyde, 15 grandchildren 18 great grandchildren.
Funeral services are entrusted to Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home and will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 1, 2008, at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with Pastor Don Heatherington and Pastor Richard Adkisson officiating. He will be buried at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Michael Redwine, Steven Redwine, Rickey Dennis, Cody Dennis, Toby Adkisson, & Jason Caldwell.
