Edmund Aastad(sic),for eight years cashier at the Manitowoc Savings Bank died at the hospital last Thursday evening after a long illness, aged 47 years. His death was due to heart trouble and dropsey.
Mr. Aastad was born at Port Washington and removed to this city with his parents when a boy of four years and made his home here since, with exception of a short time when he was located at Ludington.
He was married in 1915 to Emma Eberhardt who with one son, Ralph, aged 7, survives him. One brother, Isaac Aastad, this city, and two sisters, Mrs. H. Aslackson, Madsen and Miss Ingebrel, this city, also survive. Deceased was a member of the Knights of Phythias and was held in esteem by all who knew him. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon from the Presbyterian Church. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery.
