ALBERT ABEL DEAD AT HOME IN MONTANA
(Son of Captain Wm. Abel Dies In The West)
Albert Abel, son of Capt. And Mrs. William Abel of this city, died at his home
at Glendive, Montana early this morning his demise being due to an attack of
pneumonia from which he had been ill for only a short time. The funeral will be
held at Glendive Sunday with the service in charge of the Masons, Mr. Abel
having been master of the blue lodge. Capt. Abel and his daughter, Mrs. Carson
Hatfield of Sauk City, left today to attend the funeral and Capt. Edwin Abel of
Norfolk Va., left with his wife also to attend the funeral.

Albert Abel was born in this city and would have been thirty-three years old at
his next birthday, January 6. He received his early education in the public
schools and after graduation, was apprenticed to learn the pharmacist profession
at the C. A. Groffman drug store. Later he took up his studies at the University
of Wisconsin and after graduating located at Reedstown in the western part of
this state. About nine years ago he purchased a half interest in a drug business
at Glendive, Montana and took up his home there. He is survived by the widow,
one daughter, Paulina, aged nine and a son, Frederick, aged eight, his parents,
Capt. And Mrs. William Abel and brother, Major Abel of this city, a brother
Capt. Edwin Abel of the U.S. navy and a sister, Mrs. Carson Hatfield of Sauk
City.
