William "Bill" D. Unger, age 80, of Columbus, passed away Monday, October 4, 2010 at his home. He was born in Darke County, Ohio on December 24, 1929 to the late Minor and Lottie Brumbaugh Unger. Bill worked for Westinghouse and COTA and was a life long member of FOPA. He had a passion for photography and enjoyed collecting hats. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother. Survivors include his wife, Lee Unger; children, Dean (Cathy) Unger, and Rita (John Sr) Blackburn; grandchildren, John Jr. (Brittany) Blackburn, Angie (Bob) Messer, Katie Blackburn, Deanna (Matthew Sr.) Vargas, and Adam Unger; great grandchildren, Zackary, Allie, Victoria, and Matthew Jr.; step-children, Michael, Ronda, David, James, John, and Paul Stephens; 13 step-grandchildren; one sister; one brother; and several nieces and nephews.
