Mrs. Daisy Irene Thompson Jupin, 81 years old, of Battletown, Kentucky, died Friday, May 11, 1979, at her residence. She was born in Meade County, October 13, 1897, the daughter of the late James David Thompson and Lillie Josephine Baysinger. Mrs. Jupin was the widow of the late Mr. Stanley H. Jupin. She is survived by five children, Mrs. Shirley (Opal) Bennett, Mrs. Russell (Mary) Vandiver, and Mr. Curtis Jupin, all of Battletown, Kentucky, Mrs. Bill (Gladys) Lawson, Pleasure Ridge Park, Kentucky, Mr. Chester Jupin, Valley Station, Kentucky; 21 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were held 1:00 p.m., Monday, May 14th. from Macedonia Christian Church, with Rev. Lannie Amy and Rev, Glenn Wolf officiating. Interment was in Thompson Cemetery, directed by Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home. Pallbearers were: Ray Smith, Curtis Bennett, Stanley Bennett, Dannie Bishoff, David Berry and Gary Jones
