Mr. J. Allen Little died last evening at 8:30 o'clock at his home on Louise avenue, Belmont [neighborhood], after a period of declining health extending over several months. He was born in Stanly [county] and lived there [incorrect -- lived in Clear Creek Community of Mecklenburg County, NC] until the outbreak of the civil war.
