Ophie Mae Ross Ashcraft, age 90, of Warren, AR. died Wednesday June 29, at Wagnon Place Nursing Home. Born June 4, 1915 in Cleveland County, AR. a daughter of the late Paul Ross and Ara Spears Ross she was a homemaker, member Calvary Baptist Church and the widow of Lester Ashcraft who died November 20, 1995. They were united in marriage November 20, 1937. Also, preceding her in death were brothers Leon Ross, James Ross, Charles "Buddy" Ross, Billy Ross and a sister Ethel Fay Burnett. Survivors are 3 sons Paul M. Ashcraft and spouse Margie of Jonesboro, AR., James Dwight Ashcraft of Las Vegas, NV. Dwayne Ashcraft and spouse Carolyn of Warren, AR. 1 daughter Brenda Howard and spouse Guy of Nacogdoches, TX. 1 sister Betty St. John of Sheridan, AR. 6 grandchildren John M. Ashcraft, Donna Deuter, Delaina Splawn, Tyson Ashcraft, Marinda Rushing and Janet Howard; 7 great-grandchildren Joshua Ashcraft, Kirk Pfeifer, Mollie Pfeifer, Alyssa Deuter, Landon Splawn, Kaley Splawn and Katy Rushing. Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Saturday July 2, Frazer's Chapel with Rev. Tee Don White, Rev. Charles Atteberry and Rev. James E. Ashcraft officiating. Janice Sullivan was organist and the Calvary Baptist Church Ensemble sang. Burial was in Prosperity Cemetery near Pansy by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Cecil Carmical, Bob Powell, Matthew Pennington, Burgess Williams, James Kitchens, J.W. Baker, Roger Hairston and Eddie Pope. Honorary pallbearers were members Brown Lite Sunday School Class at Calvary Baptist Church.
