John Ewing Rice was the son of John Henry Rice and Lou Saidee Dunaway. John Ewing Rice spent most of his life in Tennessee (either in the Bedford County area and then in Memphis). He then moved to North Carolina (unknown time frame)and worked (owned?) in both clay and mica mines in the area. He married Willie Dunlap circa 1890.
