CLAYTON C. KURZENBERGER

Clayton Carl Kurzenberger of Gordon, Nebraska passed away October 23, 2009.

Clayton was born to William Henry and Cora Ann (Pettit) Kurzenberger September 10, 1924. He was the tenth child of eleven children and grew up attending country school through the eighth grade. He worked as a hired hand in his early life.

Clayton lived a short time in Bassett, NE before moving to Gorden, NE, where he spent his entire life working livestock related jobs around Gordon. He was known as Cutsy.

He was married to Joan Semans and to this union five children were born.

He is survived by his children, Joseph and Sue of Hastings, NE, Wanda of Montana, and Judy. He is also survived by four sisters, Marjorie, Maxine, Bernice, and Mary Alice, and one brother, Rolland. He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Mary; and five brothers, Kermit, George, Grayton, Gerald, and Norval.

Memorial services were held Friday, October 30, 2009 at Chamberlain-Pier Funeral Home. Burial of cremains was in West Enterprise Cemtery in Keya Paha County.
