Mrs Eunice Getchel, 63, wife of Paul Getchel of 8 Hillside La., Southington, died Tuesday at Lakeview Convalescent Home, Chesire, after a long illness. She was born in Moretown, Vt., and was a Southington resident eight years. Besides her husband she leaves a son, Robert Backus of Goffsville, N.H.; a daughter, Mrs. Roland Baker of Vernon; two brothers, Gardner Shonio of Hartford and Stanley Shonio of Montpelier, Vt.; three sisters, Mrs. Harriett Wood and Mrs. Pearl Thompson, both of Westboro, Mass. and Mrs. Siltona Smith of Hanover, N.H.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at the South Duxbury Congregational Church, South Duxbury, Vt. Burial will be in South Duxbury Cemetery. Friends may call at the Della-Vecchia Funeral Home, Southington, today from 7 to 9 p.m.
