Mrs. Winnifred G. Lowell, age 90, of 44 Quebec Street, died Tuesday in a local hospital after a brief illness.
Widow of Howard S. Lowell.
She attended Westbrook schools and graduated from Gorham Normal School.
As a young woman she taught for a few years in Westbrook and surrounding towns, but had made her home in Portland more than 50 years.
She was a 50 year member of the Congress Street Methodist Church and was active many years in its various societies.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
