Christina Schmidt-Hook was born 08 Sep 1838 in Vanderburgh County, IN. I believe her parents names were Andrew and Elizabeth and she was 1 of 9 children born to them. Not much is know about Christina prior to her marriage to Charles Hook.
Charles and Christina were married 19 Apr 1855 in Williamson County, IL. They had 12 children, 10 of which survived. Christina survived Charles by 13 years and passed away 31 May 1915 and is buried next to him in an unmarked grave. Cause of death was said to be blood poisoning.
Their son William Andrew Hook 1877-1973 was my grandfather.
I have only been able to locate the graves of 6 of the 10 children.
Missing are:
Mary Wilhelma Hook-Wilson 17 Jan 1859- 22 Jul 1934
John J. Hook 12 Apr 1861- 14 Sep 1940
George Hook 11 Jun 1877 (twin of William)
Bertha Hook-Duncan 19 Mar 1880- 28 Oct 1976
