Clarence L. Fortna
Clarence L. FORTNA, 79, Decatur, Ill., formerly of Rocheter, died at 6:20 p.m. Monday in the Americana Health Care Center.
He was born Aug. 20, 1901 in Octavia, Neb., to Jacob and Fannie RUTT FORTNA. He married Alice BARNES, Dec. 23, 1931 in Fremont. She survives. He was a retired farmer and graduate of University of Nebraska.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Betty) MOSER, Decatur; and Mrs. Paul (Nadine) TOPE, Raleigh, N.C.; two foster-sons, Lester KAMP, oscela, and Kenneth CLARK, Benton Harbor, Mich., and five grandchildren. Three brothers and two sisters preceded in death.
Memorial services were to be at 3:30 p.m. today in Brintlinger's Pershing Funeral Home, Decatur, with cremation to follow. Memorials may be made to the University of Nebraska's Department of Agriculture C. L. Fortna Memorial Foundation.
