Frances A. Froess

Frances A. Froess, 98 of Erie, died, Thursday, September 30, 2010 at St. Mary's Home East. She was born in Erie on December 24, 1911 a daughter of the late Philip and Rosa Braun Froess.

She graduated from Villa Maria Academy. She worked at Downing & Downing Insurance, Schwab wall paper and then retired after 42 years from the Social Security office as a field accounting secretary.

She was a life member of Sacred Heart Church and its altar society. She received the Ladies of St. Gregory the Great award on November 20, 2006 from The Most Reverend Donald W. Trautman, Bishop of Erie for all she did for Sacred Heart School and Parish.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Froess; and five brothers, infants, Joseph and Lawrence Froess, Joseph, Jacob and Frank Froess.

She is survived by several cousins.

Friends may call on Monday at Sacred Heart Church 816 West 26th Street from 9:30 a.m until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. The Francis V. Kloecker Funeral Home, is in charge of the arrangements.

Burial will be at Trinity Cemetery.
