George N. Hancock

George N. "Norm" HANCOCK, 82, Greenfield, formerly of Rochester, died Saturday at his home.
Born in Tipton to William H. and Charlotte WEAKLEY HANCOCK, he married Barbara J. WINDMILLER HANCOCK. She survives.
Mr. Hancock was a railroad cunductor for Nickel Plat, Norfolk Western and Norfolk and Southern railways, retiring in 1978. He was a former member of Peru Moose Lodge.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary K. MELFORD, California; one stepdaughter, Darla CARTER, New Palestine; three grandchildren; and one stepgrandson, Mark Carter.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Gary HANCOCK.
There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pasco Memorial Mortuary, 1780 W. Main St., Greenfield, with the Rev. David KOENEMAN officiating. No visitation is planned. Burial will be in Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, Greenfield, or Hancock Memorial Hospital Hospice.
