OBITUARY OF JAMES MADISON ELLER

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church for James Madison ELLER, who passed away at his home on January 06, 1946, after a long period of ill health. He was 83 at the time of his death.

Mr. ELLER was born in Kerr county, Texas, November 15, 1862. He had lived in Canadian for the past 17 years.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters; Mrs. Martin SWIRES of Waynoka, and Mrs. Roy CHUMBLEY, of Wilmington, California; by five sons; Clarence of Canadian, Charles in the Army, Emmett of Long Beach, Sam of McAllen, and Ed of Haynesville, Louisiana; by a brother, Sam of Avoca, Texas; and by three sisters: Mrs. Norman WHITE, of Durham, Mrs. Henry HUCKLEBERRY, of Jim City, Texas and Mrs. TAYLOR, of Artesia, New Mexico.

Burial was in the local cemetery, with the Rev. Joe Boyd in charge of the services.
