ENID — Funeral for Auda Ruth Leonard, 83, of Enid, will be 3 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2008 at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Jeff Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
She was born Oct. 28, 1924 in Dawson to Jesse Arno and Catherine Mable Dale Sprott and died Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at The Commons.
She was raised and educated in Dodge City, Kan.
She married Nathan E. Shearon Sr. Sept. 20, 1941, in Dodge City. He preceded her in death. She later married Warren "Mack" McLean Leonard June 20, 1965, in Cimarron, Kan. They made their home in Dodge City where she worked as a waitress, cook, and in the bakery, retiring in 1966. They lived in eastern Kansas for 15 years, moving to Garden City in 1979. In July 1985, they moved to Enid. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Center, was an artist, a seamstress and quilter. He died Aug. 5, 1985.
Surviving are four sons, Nathan E. Shearon, Ronald L. Shearon, David A. Shearon and Richard D. Shearon, all of Enid; two daughters, Carol Dockins of Enid, and Marjorie A. Bushell of Wichita; one stepdaughter, Kelly A. Cooper of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sisters, Dorothy Scheuerman of Yucaipa, Calif., and Edith Salem of Ingalls, Kan.; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to both husbands, Nathan and Warren, she was preceded in death by two sisters, two brothers, and one granddaugher.
