"Merle Leo Corte, 46, of Strattanville, died at 7:30 am Monday at the Brookville Hospital. A son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Corte, he was born June 26, 1901, near Strattanville, Clarion county.He married the former Miss Vida Klingensmith on June 27, 1924. Mr. Corte was a member of the Zion Baptist church, Reidsburg, and was employed by the DuBois Coal Co., Strattanville.In addition to his wife he is survived by four children, Mrs. Richard McNaughton of Strattanville, and Effie and twin sons, David and Darl at home. Also surviving are two brothers, John of Detroit, Mich., and Robert of San Francisco, Calif. The body is at the family home.
