Joshua married (1) Elizabeth Eunice Pearson on Nov. 19, 1885 in Crawford County, Indiana. She is buried in Flower/Flour Point Cem in Alton, Ind. Joshua married (2) Annie E. Sheckell Scheel about 1900 and had 1 daughter Ina. Joshua married (3) Minnie Bell Singleton April 17, 1924 in Meade County, Kentucky. Josh was a ferry man on his boat:The Jean. He owned a wharf, hotel and undertaker business with his brother William, who married Josh's wife's sister Cornelia "Pearl" Pearson. So 2 Sprinkle brothers married 2 Pearson sisters. Josh last lived and died on his farm at Little Bend outside of Roberta Kentucky. Across the river from Alton. He crossed the river in his boat from Little Bend Ky to Alton Ind to get supplys. During the depression he brought a few of his children and their families to live on his farm. They survived by dinomiting the river and ate the fish and turtles that floated up. There was no milk so they ate water gravy and survived the depression. The 1937 flood almost got up to the farm. Josh died in the LR of the farmhouse & is buried in Cap Anderson Cem in Brandenburg Ky with his 3rd wife Minnie Bell Singleton Sprinkle. The farmhouse and barn were still there in 1998 approx. There was collapsed remains of a slave quarters that was there when he bought the farm. His farm was auctioned after he died.
