Ida Allwin
Lake Linden - Mrs. Ida Allwin, 85, of Front Street in Lake Linden died early today at the Calumet Public Hospital where she was a patient for eight days. The former Ida Leveque was born June 10, 1894 in Lake Linden, a daughter of Pierre and Amanda Leveque. She spent most of her life in Lake Linden except for 18 years when she lived in Detroit and was employed by the Y.M.C.A. in Highland Park for 17 years. She returned to make her home in Lake Linden 20 years ago. She attended Saint Anne's Academy. On May 5, 1913 she married Victor Allwin in Saint Joseph Church in Lake Linden. He died February 12, 1975. Mrs. Allwin was a member of Saint Joseph Church of Lake Linden and the Altar Society of the church. Surviving are a son, Roy of Lake Linden; two sisters, Mrs. Edward [Lucille] Nagle of Hancock and Mrs. Isabel Kimball of Royal Oak; a brother, Leo Leveque of Lake Linden and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 A.M. Monday at Saint Joseph Church, Fr. James Hebein will officiate and spring burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Pearce Funeral Home from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. Sunday. A parish prayer services will be held at 8 P.M. Sunday.
