Harold Beus
Harold Beus, 63, a retired farmer and laborer, died at his home here some time Thursday night. The body was found Friday morning by a neighbor. Death was believed caused by a heart ailment. He was born on Nov. 14, 1905 in Moreland, Idaho, a son of Michael John and Sarah Elizabeth Yates Beus. He was reared in Moreland. He married Delilah Madge Beckstead on Jan. 5, 1929. His wife died in 1966. He was a member of the LDS Church. He had worked on construction, in a cheese factory and farmed in the Moreland and then Firth area where he had moved in 1944. He also worked as a plumber and blacksmith in Firth.
Survivors include a son, Hal Beck Beus, of Pocatello; three daughters, Mrs. Mona Galloway of Shelley, Mrs. Barbara Fowler of Nampa and Mrs. Elaine Prouse of Blackfoot; two brothers, Alvin Beus of Pocatello and Orval Beus of Firth, and 15 grandchildren. Funeral arraignments will be by the Nalder Funeral Home of Shelley.
