Alma was the 7th born of 10 children of James D & Elizabeth F Barmore. A devout evangelist, ordained into the RLDS Church, he traveled the world in his missionary work. In 1903, he was married in Sydney, Australia to Lily White, also active in the missionary works. They had no children but nurtured many in their work. After Alma's death, Lily went back to Australia to live out her life with her widowed sister. There she died in 1959.
