Mr. Floyd Addington, age 88, of Buford, GA passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Youngblood Addington; and son, Floyd Wayne Addington. He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Janet and John Bowen, Cleveland, GA and Carolyn Parker, Flowery Branch, GA; son, Darrell Addington, Gainesville, GA; seven grandchildren, Mark Stanley, Jr., Steven Stanley, Crystal Addington, Carla Mooney, John Wayne Addington, April Wigley, and Krista Fowler; eighteen great grandchildren; sister, Jimmie Dicus, Tampa Bay, FL; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Addington was born May 1, 1922 in Toccoa, GA. He was a U. S. Navy veteran having served in World War II. He was a retired concrete finisher. He was of the Baptist Faith. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 1, 2010 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Youngblood officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA with military honors.
