Mr. Floyd Addington, age 88, of Buford, GA passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Youngblood Addington; and son, Floyd Wayne Addington. He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Janet and John Bowen, Cleveland, GA and Carolyn Parker, Flowery Branch, GA; son, Darrell Addington, Gainesville, GA; seven grandchildren, Mark Stanley, Jr., Steven Stanley, Crystal Addington, Carla Mooney, John Wayne Addington, April Wigley, and Krista Fowler; eighteen great grandchildren; sister, Jimmie Dicus, Tampa Bay, FL; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Addington was born May 1, 1922 in Toccoa, GA. He was a U. S. Navy veteran having served in World War II. He was a retired concrete finisher. He was of the Baptist Faith. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 1, 2010 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Youngblood officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Arrangements by: Junior E. Flanigan of Flanigan Funeral Buford Ga.
