Mrs. Amley, 76, New Richland Native, Dies
NEW RICHLAND
Mrs. Martin (Anna) Amley, 76, a native of New Richland, died at 6:25 a,m, Sunday in Good Samaritan Center. She had been in ill health several years with a broken hip and Parkinson"s disease.
A daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jonas Johnson, she was born June 15, 1889 in Steele county.
She was a graduate of New Richland High school and Mankato State College. She taught school 12 years in Steel County. She was a member of LeSueur River Lutheran church and was active in its church Woman and Mission Circles. She served as Sunday School superintendent a number of years.
Mr. and Mrs. Amley were married Feb. 12, 1923 at New Richland.
Immediate survivors are;

Two sons; Harold and Gene, both of New Richland
Three daughters;
Mrs. Lloyd (Joan) Bartness of Hartland
Mrs. Lloyd (Bonnie) Cooper of St. Paul
Mrs. Leslie (Yvonne) Christensen of Freeborn
A foster daughter: Mrs. Nels ( Esther) Brusven, Crookston.
A brother; Bennett Johnson of Glendora, Calif.
Seven sisters;
Mrs. Clifford Johnson of Owatonna
Mrs. Arthur Ellingson of Kenyon
Mrs. Elmer Larson of Lansing, Michigan
Mrs. E. A. Fuller of Hemet, Calif.
Mrs. Orland Gear of Covina, Calif.
Mrs. C.A. Thykeson of Long Beach, Calif.
Mrs. A.F. Endicott, Castro Valley, Calif.
Ten grandchildren
One grandson also survive her.
A sister, Mrs. Josvaold (Marie) Johnson preceded her in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in LeSueur River Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
