Herbert Possehn, 80, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Ionia passed away Sept. 1, 2001 in Mesa.
He was born Feb. 24, 1921 in Portland, the son of William and Bertha (Schroder) Possehn. He married Ruth Williams Nov. 12, 1988 in Scottsdale, Ariz.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Possehn of Mesa; his son, Dennis (Donna) Possehn of California; brothers, Donald (Marie) Possehn of Lake Odessa, Tom (Katie) Possehn of Lake Odessa and Raymond (Marilyn) Possehn of Portland; sisters, Helen Godwin of Lyons, Hulda Sutton of Lake Odessa, Lucille (Robert) Heppe of Orleans, Beth Possehn and Jessi Possehn; five step-children; and nine step-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac with Rev. Ken Harger officiating. Interment Balcom Cemetery.
