Like the rest of the family, he was an accomplished musician. He was a very friendly and likeable boy and was well thought of by all who knew him.

He went into the Army in October of 1918 during World War I and on the wa to Camp Code, he came down with the flu. Upon arriving in camp, he was immediately rushed to the hospital and seemed to be recovering; however, he took a turn for the worse and died there on November 11, 1918.
