He was born July 12, 1938, in Peoria, Ill., to Francis L. and Mary M. (Colvin) Adams.
Surviving are one daughter, Sarah (Charlie) Rice of Pekin; grandsons, Ryan, Cody and Steven, all of Pekin; one sister, Suzie (Dennis) Seckler of Metamora; nieces, Daphne (Jeff) Clarkson of Congerville, Ill., and Jessica (Kevin) Taylor of East Peoria; and one nephew, Dennis Seckler of Metamora.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Margie Adams; and his wife, Reba.
Harvey worked on building and grounds for Illinois State Police District 8 from 1974 until his retirement in 2000.
He loved country music and Elvis and enjoyed watching Western movies starring John Wayne.
Burial will be in Bell Plain Baptist Cemetery in Pattonsburg, Ill.
