Durwood Claunch, an employee of Keyco Plumbing for about 10 years, died Wednesday at home. He was 71.

Mr. Claunch was born in Fort Worth. He operated a ditching service from 1969 to 1984. Mr. Claunch was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Ttemple Baptist Church and was a former member of Fair Park Baptist Church. The family suggests that memorials be made to Saint Joseph Community Hospice.

Survivors: Wife, Jonnie Claunch of Fort Worth; two sons, Eddie Claunch of Arlington and Jimmy Claunch of Haltom City; daughter, Donna Claunch King of Fort Worth; two brothers, Alex S. Claunch of Conroe and Ray Claunch of Fort Worth and six grandchildren. G. Harper LincecumII [in charge of services]
